We’re kicking off our annual Holiday Turkey Donation Drive to help families across the Mid-Atlantic enjoy a warm, nourishing Thanksgiving meal. This year’s goal is to donate 600 turkeys to neighbors in Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina. This is an increase from the 500 turkeys donated last year.
Double Your Impact & Key Dates
You can make your donation go even further! Any turkey donation made during Black Friday through Cyber Monday weekend (November 28-December 1) will be matched by South Mountain Creamery.
Where Your Donations Go
Your generous donations will help support families through various organizations in the Mid-Atlantic:
- Maryland: Schools in the area, Frederick Rescue Mission, Maryland Food Bank, Martha’s Table
- Virginia: Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore
- North Carolina: Good News/Buenas Nuevas International Ministry
How to Donate
It’s easy! To donate, simply:
- Add a Donation Turkey to your home delivery order.
- Purchase in person at our retail locations or at the Baltimore 32nd Street Farmers Market.
Our Commitment to Quality
We source our donated turkeys from Sensenig Turkey Farm in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania — a family-run farm that raises high-quality, humanely raised poultry with care. Every purchase supports both families in need and the farm families who feed our communities.
“Our annual Thanksgiving drive is one of our favorite traditions. It’s a way for us — and our customers — to share good food and goodwill.”
— Tony Brusco, CEO, South Mountain Creamery
Plan Your Holiday Table
While you’re planning your donation contribution, don’t forget to pre-order your own Thanksgiving turkey by November 10, 2025. Along with turkeys, you can pre-order chef-prepared sides, fresh-baked desserts, and classic holiday favorites in our online shop.A special note: Each year, our employees receive a complimentary turkey as a small token of gratitude for the hard work they do behind the scenes to keep deliveries running and our farm thriving.
