Our Commitment to a Healthy Farm & Healthy Food

We believe our number one job as farmers is to take care of our animals and land with responsible, sustainable farming practices so we can provide you and your family with wholesome food now, and for years to come.

We’re committed to cutting emissions across every acre and every herd, by:

  • Capturing carbon, improving animal comfort, and reducing erosion with strategic grazing
  • Composting and reducing methane with nutrient storage
  • Protecting soil and water with grassed waterways, streambank fencing, and riparian buffers
  • Using no-till methods and cover crops on all cropland.
  • Cutting energy use with heat recovery and closed-loop water systems
  • Preserve hundreds of acres of woodlands, fencerows, and buffers that act as long-term carbon sinks
  • Capturing manure methane and generating renewable energy with a planned anaerobic digester

Cow Care for a Happy Healthy Herd

For over 40 years, we’ve milked our cows right here on our Maryland farm, and since day one our priority has been to commit to the health and comfort of our cows. We’re always looking for new ways to improve our cows’ care with innovative farming technology.
